Food Blog 01

Kenshin
Japanese Restaurant
Location: Philamlife Subdivision Alabang Zapote Rd. Las Piñas City

Ayt, Bare with me since this is my first time writing a food blog. 🙂
’twas about 9 PM somewhere here in South, we’re looking for a place to eat.
For me light lang but for my bae pang-bakbakan. Lol.
I want something new for my taste buds or a new ambiance at least.

So we tried Vistamall formerly known as Starmall Las Piñas, sa Left side we saw Kenshin.
Bago sa mata so we tried it.

Cozy, I like it. Medyo off lang yung pag-linis nila ng table. Tissue ba naman ang gamitin.
O_O I just asked them to clean it up again properly. HAHA.
Anyway yun nga, I like the Japanese style mural artwork on the left side.
Even the lighting very instagrammable.
If I would rate their interior from 1-10 and 10 being the highest, I’d say 7.
-3 for the mess.

FOOD !!!!

Karaage Set PHP 279.00

Price wise sakto lang. Not that Pricey not that Cheap.
Presentation: 8/10 :).
Taste: bae said his rate would be 6/10.
Hindi sya well done. You can taste na galing syang fridge, may lamig sa gitna.

Caesar Salad PHP 179.00

I like it but it’s a typical salad for me so yeah. haha.
Btw it has bacons and I love it!
Taste: 7/10

POTATO FRIES PHP 149.00

Kinda disappointing. I thought it was a real potato, hindi pala. Typical fries na you can buy from any supermarket. Expectations vs Reality. LOL
Taste: 3/10
Bagsak. I’m a fan of FRIES. As of now first on my list would be YABU’s.

Mango Shake 🙂

Can’t tell if it’s pure Mango, all I can say is sikskik yung texture nya. Medyo lasang gamot, so I think there’s something artificial in it. But I like it in a way na pwede na for 99 Pesos.
Taste: 6/10

Liquors and Cocktails

They have it! Sake, Shochu and more  HAHA! Too bad hindi ko na-try. Perhaps some other time.

They also have my FAVORITE OMG, MATCHA!!! Unfortunately I’m on a diet so bawas muna. Tiis.
Question is, Babalik bako dito? Dito sa Kenshin?
Answer is, YES. 🙂 Hindi ko pa nasubukan most of the food that they offer.
Haven’t tried their Matcha yet. I also wanna try their drinks and some other katsu sets.
So Yes.

SAGADA

5:45 AM SAGADA MT. PROVINCE

First of all, Hi readers! Heads up lang, this blog is not about how to get to Sagada, Resto hopping nor DIY tipid travel tips. This post is all about my experience, how I felt when I got there, why I went there, what was the series of events that happened and the takeaways. This post may reveal a part of me na I have been keeping for a long time (sa bandang dulo). So voila!

7
Sila yung mga kasama ko. Mga kaibigan ko. The rest, Audience. Candid. I like Candid shots. Genuine.

6

Isang beks, Isang Shebam, Isang Guru.

(Lumiang & Sumilong Cave Connection)

But here are some shots:

At isa sa mga paborito namin, Bonfire.
We had a chance to meet new people and laugh with them all night.

Last stop but definitely not the least, Kiltepan Peak and its Bed of clouds. ♥ Mesmerizing.
Take note masarap goto dito or lugaw basta.

Kiltepan Peak | Bed of Clouds

Ang ganda diba?
Sa Kiltepan yan.
Malamig, medyo matao OO.

3
Hindi to ganun kababaw para sa akin.
Kinagabihan bago puntahan to(Kiltepan), umiyak ako ng todo.

Banaue Rice Terraces

Siguro nga ako talaga may problema…

Daming tao eh kahiya. LOL.

Explore Taal

So first things first, Here’s our Gang. From Left to Right it’s Erika, Kuya Arman (our daddy yo lol), Aprielle, Ej, Yanic, Ria (me) Ricky, Ral and Kate.
It’s been a long time since my first post about my adventure. Marami-rami pakong napuntahan after that, couldn’t find time to post it lang. Sorry, but I’m praying to make some time for this to help you out (If I’m helping) Haha.DSC_4520

For those of you na interested to trek taal, here’s a guide. Bear with me as I’m still amateur at doing this kinda thing. 🙂

That was February when we toured Yanic and Ricky :), our supervisors from Jamaica site to Taal’s crater. It was all our first time to explore it. It was indeed a freakin’ hot adventure (Bulkan eh asahan mo?) Lol.
Nagcommute kami to let them experience the traffic here in the Philippines. From Ayala to Coastal PHP 12.00/head. Then from south provincial bus terminal sa coastal mall, we took the bus heading to Olivarez Tagaytay worth PHP 72.00/head. Pagbaba sa Olivarez may mag ooffer don na tricycle drivers pababa going to Port ranging from PHP 250-350.00. Since marami kami we had 2 trikes PHP 250.00 each trike. Tamang Haggle lang. 🙂

DSC_4279DSC_4286

When we reached the Port , kita na namin beauty of Taal Volcano from the same level of perspective. From there we talked to Ate (Apologies coz I didn’t get the name of the resort and the contact person. But the trike drivers will recommend you to one of them) and Haggle the cost for the boat ride going to Taal’s foot.
Here’s the view from the port:
DSC_4294
So here are the damages:
•PHP 6,900 for 2 Boats coz each boat capacity is 6 so we split in to two since there’re 9 of us.
Inclusions:
Cottage for pahinga/waiting area & Tour Guide Fee.
Exclusions:
Meal, water and Horse ride.
You have an option to trek your way up to the crater or just ride a horse for PHP 500 back & forth.
•PHP 100 for Tablang pantawiran by Nanay (didn’t get a chance to take a photo of her *sorry*) you will need her tabla para di  mabasa shoes niyo pagbaba sa pampang.
•Tip for your Tour Guide.
Here are more pics from the port:

BOAT RIDE HA HA HA!
DSC_4304
We did not expect na magiging windy ang ride na ito. Lol.
I suggest bring extra set of clothes, coz the water from the lake might hug you big time. #LOL.

ON OUR WAY UP!
DSC_4523
Here’s the trail. There’s a total of 14 stations. Steep, Smelly Horse sh**,  & freaking Hot it burned our skin lol jk. But what I love the most in trekking is the fulfillment, Iba kapag andon kana, nakikita mo resulta ng bawat paghihirap mo sa pag-akyat. Peace and Serenity, yan personally ang nagdadrive sakin para mag-explore more, travel more. Bonus na yung #feedgoals and #travelgoals. Nothing beats the smell of the Nature.
DSC_4368
I won’t give you Taal Facts. Let the tour guides do their jobs. LOL. Amazing eh?
All of the photos are owned by yours truly.
And what’s a breath-taking view without a groupie huh?
DSC_4377
1 Fact that I can still remember: Taal Volcano’s steam can boil an egg. 🙂 coz you’re trekking a volcano so expect na there’ll be a steam on your way up.

FINALLY AT THE TOP!
DSC_4436
Couldn’t believe na I’m on the Volcano’s crater! Such a gem near the metro.
DSC_4430-2
For this adventure I wanna thank Yanic Barret and Ricky for being so sport and generous. Kudos! Hope to see you both again and Looking forward for another amazing trip.

Calaguas Island

One morning when I was lurking sa facebook nakita ko yung sponsored post of Zero Two Travel na about sa Isla Mahabang Buhangin.

“Shocks! Ang Ganda!”

‘Twas a Love at first sight. Since that day I decided na hindi matatapos ang Year nato nang hindi kami nakakapunta diyan ni Aaron.

Eh to make the story short, we had our trip last April 29-May 2.

Sulit! Every cent. The view on the Hillside is just so perfect. Tanaw mo ang buong Isla Mahabang Buhangin.

30 mins of Trekking lang naman. Pag dating sa Peak there’s a Buko Vendor with a carabao beside her.

Buhanging kay puti at Maala Pulbo! White Sand it is!

Plus, there’s this another Island named Balagbag na puro Rocks!

When we reached the peak, Cliff, Cliff ang naghello sa amin.

It may not be so obvious here sa angle ng shot. But yeah when I say mataas, Mataas! (Excuse us #relationship goals eh) hahahaha.

Paradise. This Place is a paradise.

Who doesn’t love a Sunset?
There’s so much more to see. I encourage you to visit this Island. See it for yourselves.

Shoutout to the team of Zero Two Travel: Kuyas; Arnold, Anthony and Allan. Hurrah!

If you have any questions regarding our trip here’s my email: airbrines@gmail.com
